All about The Road Home

After another successful donation drive, WISE Home Solutions is still thrilled to be a preferred partner of The Road Home. In addition to our donation drives, WISE Home also gives a portion of each sale to the organization. So, what exactly is The Road Home all about? Here’s everything you need to know about one of our favorite partners.

Services

The Road Home is leader in the Salt Lake valley when it comes to combating homelessness. They provide a variety of services including shelter, donations, and case management. These are just a few of the ways The Road Home assists the local Utah community.

The Road Home manages two shelters: one in Downtown Salt Lake City, and the other in Midvale. This provides emergency housing for those in need. In addition to emergency housing, The Road Home also works to provide permanent housing as well. The permanent housing program is meant to stabilize those who struggle with finding consistent housing.

Part of what we enjoy doing with our partnership is providing donations to The Road Home. Any and all donations are welcome including clothing, hygiene items, and shoes. This directly helps those that come to the shelter. The needs change from season to season, but The Road Home has a wide variety for all people.

After a family or individual has left the shelter, The Road Home provides case management in order to assist them acclimating back into society. Case management services include help in obtaining documents, training, and assistance easing back into the workforce. With this type of help, individuals are more likely to thrive.
